Every price below is per swimmer, in Swiss francs, and current for the 2026 semesters. There's a one-time CHF 50 annual registration fee on top for new families, and bank-transfer billing adds a CHF 25 manual-processing fee — everything else is straight card or TWINT at checkout.

A quick way to think about value: a semester works out to about CHF 31 per lesson at most pools — cheaper than the monthly rate if you know you're staying for the term. Monthly is friendlier if you're new to the swimmer-parent life and want to feel it out first.
Where you'll find us around Lake Geneva
We teach in seven indoor, heated pools across the Vaud, Geneva and Fribourg cantons — every pool is between 30°C and 32°C and small enough that coaches can keep a proper eye on every swimmer.
- Coppet — the closest pool if you're between Nyon and Versoix, easy parking, popular with Terre Sainte families.
- Lausanne EHL — the pool at the École hôtelière de Lausanne on the Chalet-à-Gobet plateau; warm, calm, our biggest baby-swim programme.
- Lausanne Malley — right by the Malley metro/train stop; the fastest way to fit a lesson into a Lausanne family's evening.
- Montreux — for Riviera families; sunset lessons on the lake side are hard to beat.
- Aubonne — the Etoy/La Côte answer, quiet neighbourhood pool with easy parking.
- Fribourg — our only fully-bilingual pool (French / German), with lots of weekend camp availability.
- Geneva Vernier — opens September 2026, semester-only for launch year, replacing what used to be a long drive out for Geneva-city families.
What makes a good-value lesson?
Cost is only half the story — a cheap lesson in a crowded 8-child class costs more per minute of actual coaching than a slightly pricier lesson with real water time. Three things move the needle:
Group size. Our hard cap is 6 swimmers per coach, and the average across a typical week is 4. That means each swimmer gets roughly 6–7 minutes of hands-on coaching in a 30-minute lesson — versus about 3 minutes in a class of 10. It's the single biggest reason children progress a level faster with us.
Coach quality. Every Aqua Swim coach is either Swiss Swimming or ISSA-certified and has passed our internal water-safety and pedagogy training. We pay significantly above the Vaud market rate for aquatics coaches, which is unglamorous to talk about but shows up in retention (our coaches stay for years, not months) and in how confidently they run a group of nervous 4-year-olds.
Water time. A 30-minute lesson that starts on time and ends on time is worth more than a 45-minute "lesson" that begins with 10 minutes of waiting on the deck. We stagger check-in so the previous class exits while yours enters — we've timed this to the minute across all seven pools.

Common pricing questions
Can I claim swim lessons back from my Swiss health insurance?
Sometimes — yes. Because Aqua Swim Academy is QualiCert certified and our head coach is a recognised movement professional, many complementary insurance plans reimburse part of your fees under their prevention / sport packages (typically CHF 200–500 per year, sometimes more). We can't promise a specific amount because it depends on your plan, but we can send you the QualiCert certificate and a paid-invoice receipt formatted for insurance claims. Just email luna@aquaswim.ch.
Do you offer a sibling discount?
Yes. When you enrol a second child on the same account, they automatically get 10% off their monthly membership. It applies from their first invoice — you don't need to ask for a code.
When should I enrol for the best chance of getting the class I want?
The two peak windows are late June (for the autumn semester starting mid-August) and late November (for the spring semester). Popular time slots — after-school on weekdays and Saturday mornings — often fill within the first fortnight. Enrolling earlier also means you lock in the semester price rather than paying month-by-month.
What does my child need to bring to the first lesson?
Swimsuit, towel, goggles, and a filled water bottle. If your child is under 3 or in Level 1/2, they'll also need a reusable neoprene swim diaper worn over a disposable one — the pools require the double-diaper rule for hygiene. Arrive 5 minutes early for check-in so the coach can meet you before the class starts.
What's your cancellation policy?
Monthly memberships need 30 calendar days' written notice by email to luna@aquaswim.ch — cancellation takes effect at the end of the following billing period. Semester bookings are paid up front and non-refundable, but you can transfer the remaining lessons to a sibling or another child for a CHF 50 admin fee. If a pool closes for maintenance or public-health reasons, unfortunately Swiss law treats it as force majeure and there's no refund — this is why we recommend a personal cancellation insurance.
Do you teach adults?
Yes — we run adult beginner, intermediate and advanced groups at Lausanne EHL, Coppet and Montreux, and one-to-one adult sessions at every pool. It's a supportive, small-group environment (never more than 6 swimmers) and a lot of our adult beginners never learned as children. If you'd like a first taste, the CHF 39 trial applies to adults too.
